disappointed, but I did get to meet Jim

I take the public bus to the zoo in Grand Rapids where Jim Harding was to give a presentation. Usually, though, I ride there in early morning and back home in late morning or very early afternoon.

Well, once before we encountered a train crossing the road on my way back home in early afternoon, but it was only yesterday when we got held up by that train that I found it crosses there every day - one of the riders told that to as I made a comment that I was saying to those around me that I was about to be late for a presentation. If I had known it crosses every day, I would have taken an earlier bus just to be safe.

So I missed the bus that that left the Central Station at 1:15 pm (boy, what I frustrated) out to the zoo, and arrived at Jim's talk about 30 min late. What I caught of the presentation was great, and after I got to introduce myself to him as that guy with whom he has been exchanging email.

He seems like a really nice guy, and said it was nice to finally meet me.

BTW, I think you were the one who said he wrote children's books. Well, actually he said the MSU books have "kids that can read" as part of the target group of readers. But he hasn't written books particularly for children.
