Is this a leopard Gecko?

Herplover95 Feb 10, 2008 06:11 PM

Hello,
I bought this from Petsmart today and they had it marked as a Leopard Gecko. I came home and did some research and I think it's an African Fat tail Gecko. If it is I have to take it back because I cannot provide the proper temp gradients for an AFT.

It is a leopard gecko. I think it's in shed so it looks a little funny. Nice little critter though, congrats.

That´s a leopard gecko.
1-You should do some research before you buy an animal.
2-If you can´t provide the appropriate gradient for an AFT you shouldn´t be able to provide the correct temp gradient for this little fellow.

I've read the whole Leopard Gecko Manual except for the AFT section. I was told the AFT's have higher temp requirements and can not tolerate the temps that Leos can. I garantee this Leo will be kept as healthy and happy as I can possibly help it be. He's already eaten 4 crickets and is hunkered down in his warm side hide.
