Las Vegas area snakes & Hibernation

HerbieThePython Feb 10, 2008 09:16 PM

I am new to herping in the Las Vegas area. Can anyone tell me at what time of the year, the snakes start coming out in this area? Do they come out of hibernation due to the time of year, or is it due to change in temperature, or increased hours of daylight?

I don't know your area but I can give a little advise. Pay attention to the night time lows. When it starts averaging 50 degrees and above, things will start moving.
