problem... help!

I hope someone knows something about it...
otherwise i'm going to the vet.
my ST has some harsh neck.. he scratches it and gets it wounded.
he rarely does it but with his huge claws it makes big damage.
look at the pic... it's the dark area...
it's hard to see on the pic but when you're close you can see there is no more skin............... it looks awful ............... she must be suffering.........
help !!!

so the turtle is scratching itself with its feet?
or is it getting scratched on something else?
if its using its feet and its drawing blood that's pretty severe. i might think it had some ectoparasite tunneling into its skin.
In either case you will have to treat the lesion with some antiseptic and you might want to dry dock him to do it.
If you can't post a pic here, email one to me (use the contact option on these forums) and i will look at it and post it.
Do you have a good reptile vet?
