How cold is too cold?

bigdogreps Feb 12, 2008 03:06 PM

Hello,
Are rats tolerant of cooler temps down to the lower 40s? I was considering putting my rat racks in the garage to free up space in my basement but here in the NorthEast the temps in the garage can get pretty cold and not to mention pretty hot in the summer. In my basement it is in the lower 50s in the winter and it doesnt stop them from breeding and they dont seem uncomfortable but didnt know if another 10 degrees would be pushing it.
