incubator Eggs crate

How many people put something between the eggs and the vermiculite. Eggs crate or anything. Or do you bury them. What meduims do you use.

I use Perlite and water. Then lay a grate on top of the mix. I place the eggs on top of the grate and add dry perlite around the eggs to keep them from rolling . Good luck. Claude
