This is why Fl will ban many reptiles

Lia Feb 13, 2008 03:39 AM

Its these CONSTANT escapes why Florida will ban many reptiles

http://miami.craigslist.org/pet/571337337.html

I dont subscribe to the ban but if there were simple regulations, anything in place for ownership of large snakes these CONSTANT problems wouldnt happen.

This mans snake shouldnt have "run away" aka able to escape

Wow, what a jacka$$... (if I were to judge quickly)

Another thing that bothers me beyond letting something like get out is that this is a picture of a huge animal with two small kids, one holding the tail with the "caption that "It is not people friendly and his reactions can be unpredictable"

I get the impression that this person is not a responsible keeper at the very least and at worst not a responsible parent.

I do remember a Bill Engvall bit about this type of thing. "Honey, have you seen the dog? ..... Honey??"

I wonder if this is even a true post...I wouldn't put it past some PETA, HSUS, etc. member doing this just to start a stir, and even some teenagers who'd say they were "just having fun". Of course, it might be true cause things like that happen...I remember watching an episode of "animal police" on Animal Planet, and they went to a house in Florida where a man had three large burmese pythons...they were his pets, and he kept them outside in his back yard, with no cage, or no fence or anything...they "lived" in a run down shed with many holes so they could come and go as often as they wanted. Now, who knows, maybe they never leave the yard (they were very large and he'd had them for a very long time) but just think of how easy it would be for them to simply take off!

I'll bet the picture wasn't even taken in Miami but there isn't enough background vegetation in the photo for me to tell for sure. If you go to craig's list miami it's ablaze with ticked off people. Miami hasn't been in this much uproar since the late eighties. I'll give it about a day before they're blowing up each other's gas stations over it. perhaps the troll can play the fiddle as they burn.

I started looking through the cl. posts and found that the same snake is creeping around NYC (forget how cold it is there right now...the reward there is 1500 there instead of a 1000 btw, ) as well as Miami but instead getting their panties in a twist like the idiots in Miami they're making jokes about it there by demonstrating why all the con artists come to florida.

ooohhh, so that's how Nero did...he just yelled "snake!!" lol
I think craigslist is like digging through a landfill...you can find some really nice things, but you have to be willing to dig through all the trash to find it! oh, and don't forget to wear your chestwaders cause the s**t can get deep quick! lol
