I am thinking that anole could be sagrei, there is a dorsal pattern I have not seen in carolensis. Do you know of any sagrei invading the Carolinas yet? We have them in Corpus Christi and Rockport, Texas for sure.

Nice Wayne! Have you found many garters like that? I know of one that was found in MB, SC about 10 years ago.
I think the anole was just real cold, I find them like that when they are still under logs and what not in the winter.

no I haven't found any garters like that it's actually only the 2nd I've seen since I've moved here. in NY I've seen thousands and nothing quite like this though I had a smoking blue one I caught wish I still had her and this female erythristic and my male albino , would have been some fun breeding projects. that anole was posed found under some bark and placed on the tree, it was quite cold and barely moved. I got weekends off if you ever wanna get together email is milkman13114@aol.com

Man! This weekend would have been great with the barimetric dorpping like crazy and then the warm up! I had a funneral to go to on Fri and spent the weekend cleaning! My e-mail is bluesbayou@gmail.com - I have a Cub Scout race on Sat morn but the evening should be free provided this cold front doesn't hang around too much!

Route 50 was a great road. I have many found memories of that area. Next to the travel trailer park across from the large motel on the beach on the Onslow side of Topsail, a remember a man from Pennselvania killing two large canbrakes and calling them "diamonbacks". I know several local collectors didn't think that kingsnakes existed on the island itself...but I seen six or seven there over the years. I haven't been back there since about 1996...I'm sure alot of stuff has changed. At that time, the US Marines did not own the land northwest of Holly Ridge. Use to be red pigmies there...and I'm sure they still are...just don't know if you are allowed back there now. Anyway Blue...you live in one of the best places in the country for herping.
