erythristic eastern garter

from onslow county NC

had a day off and figured I'd go poke around and I'm glad I did, slow day but found this eastern garter don't know if they all look like this here but I was stoked.

Very pretty, similar yet quite different than the PAHerpers in that his had brighter yellow dorsal stripe and was more of a pink, this one is more brick red-orange. Neat find, did you keep to breed or release?

I'm gonna keep it for a lil while, as I sold all my snakes and have none now, if I can find another nice blue phase like the one I had in NY I might try a breeding project.....who knows.

It would be super neat to see a blue and red checkerboard wouldn't it, or a red, white and blue garter, you could unveil it on the 4th of July, but probably would end up with some blues and reds sibs, since the color is seen in the non-melanin square. Only one way to find out though.
