super pastel..??

Tibor Feb 14, 2008 01:08 PM

I like them but had some questions in my head.
If your goal is to produce bright animals.. are s/pastels the direction or do they just clean up.. so to speak?

I think enchi/fires are better choice...am I thinking correct?

If you breed a bumblebee to a pastel..do you produce kiler bees?
If not you need a superpastel to get a killerbee from a bumblebee? How about an enchi/bumblebee breeding does this produce a killerbee?
How about a pair of bbees bred together..killerbee then?
thanks for the help!

Enchis and fires are not pastels. They do make very nice bright combos, but are different from pastels. Despite enchis and cinnamons sometimes having pastel at the end of their names, they are not pastels. Confusing isn't it.

Enchis, fires, vanillas and probably some other morphs make pastels brighter and will be the future of "bright snakes".

As Mike stated the Enchi is not a pastel. It does however have its own super form. In reality it is possible to have a super pastel super enchi. = BIG MONEY!!. the pastel enchi spider is something all together different......Enchi spiders are AWESOME!!!!!........you can get a killer bee from a pastel x bumble bee but your odds are much better with a super pastel x bumble bee. with a pastel x bumble bee: you get pastels, super pastels, bumble bees, killer bees, spiders, and normals. I think your chances would be 1 in 8 of producing a killer bee. as 1/4 of the production is super pastel and 1/2 of that would be spider too. You could end up with more or less it really depends on where your luck falls. A bumble x super yields 25% killer bees 25% superpastels 25% bumble bees and 25% pastels NO NORMAL appearing offspring. Now you know why superpastels are more expensive.... Same for any super form as everything they breed is at LEAST a pastel or the trait that made it...............There are Homozygous spiders if a spider was bred to another spider BUT you cannot tell them apart and it is only 1 in 3 same with pinstripes. so if you happen to be the lucky soul that got a homozygous spider you will get much better odds. I doubt there are many people breeding spider to spider though. Most utilize a male spider and normal females. Cheapest mode of production and least likely to develop neurological problems.......God Bless, Lee Van Hyfte <

Ok..thanks to you both on clearing that up on the fire/enchi...they sure look similar,my mistake.Your right enchi bumble bees are clean.
thats the reason a killer bee has its price tag$$
you answered all but ..a pair(1.1) of bumblebees...produce a killerbee?
Is the killer bee the super form of the bubblebee?
thanks again.

Killer Bees are super pastel spiders. You don't need two bumble bees. A bee and a pastel would do. I don't think it is considered a good idea to breed spider to spider because of the wobble head issues with them. A bee is a pastel spider, so two bees would be the same as two spiders. I think it would be best to avoid that breeding or you might end up with killers that can't right themselves if you turned them over.
