Thanks everybody for help with Monroe's not-eating problem before. My LPS is getting frozen rat pups in tomorrow and I'm picking those up to try. If that doesn't work out I'll have to use a live.

Also (probably part of the problem) he finally shed last night, I thought that he might have done it underneath the paper towels without me noticing before. Little did I realize that you can't mistake a BRB that has shed for one that hasn't at all! He looks gorgeous now - still didn't take the f/t mouse fuzzy, but is looking more comfortable. Here are the pics, sorry they're a little blurry -

This one is mostly for color, he's a tad brighter than this in person though.

Here's a slightly better one, colors are pretty accurate here. He's maybe a little duller.

Our new digital camera is really confusing to work and get the focus on. I'm pretty sure they're without flash. I guess I need to get more snakes (and a better camera) to be able to do the classic Dave-style pics you always see on here, huh?

Yup, they're fuzzy and out of focus, still though, how can any pic of a nice looking BRB not be welcome here!!! Thanks for sharing and one piece of advice. Digital "film" is FREE, take a gazillion pics until you figure out your camera(s) and lighting. Then continue to take more. Even though I have a nice camera and have my lighting all figured out I still take more than twice as many pics as you see, sometimes 3X!! If you don't like a pic, toss it. If you don't like a whole set, toss em and take more!!!!

I agree with dave on taking pics - digital are free. Take time to figure things out. Check to see if your camera has a sports mode and if you can force a flash. I like Dave hav a decent camera and it still took me a lot of pics to get things figured out. I posted pics of 6 snakes today and probably took 50 total pictures. The first 10 or so pics of the first snake were terrible, so I move rooms to where there was better lighting.

Getting 6 decent pics from 50 shots is a GREAT ratio!!! The ONLY reason I get a higher percentage is because I have a dedicated picture location with proper lighting so I know where to go, what settings to use, what lens to use and how to set up the shot and take the pics. Whenever I do something different like taking pics outside, most are trashcan quality. Quite often an entire photo session will be trash. Of course add to that snakes that decide to only cooperate for a minute or two and duh, really hard to get a decent shot. Again, practice practice practice. Keep notes (evenm if only mental ones) of what you did, settings you used, what worked and what did not. Long process... I've litterally scrolled through every setting option taking a coulple pics from each to see what the difference would be.

Danne,
....Good advice from the guys so far. Your camera probably has a macro mode for taking close-up PICs of small subjects. If not then try shooting from further back use the zoom and then crop the PIC. Up close my flash washes out color and makes everything look too bright. I put two to four pieces of opaque tape over the flash and it works great in macro mode taking PICs close-up. After I download the PICs to the computer I crop nearly all of them and throw away more than half of them. The biggest advantage of digital photography is the free "film" feature. Like Dave said shoot lots of PICs and only keep the best ones.
....If I had your snake I would plan on feeding it live for the next month to get it into a rhythm of eating regularly and then offer fresh killed that is as close as possible in size to what you have been feeding live. All BRBs can be converted to eating frozen and thawed but some of them like making the change in slow small steps rather than a big change all at once. Also, most that are regular frozen and thawed feeders will sometimes refuse frozen and thawed and then jump on a live rodent as soon as it is offered.
