(Anna's mom here)

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the helpful advice and heartfelt concern about our leo. I think Anna already gave an update but we visited the vet and found that our leo has a respiratory infection which seems to have lead to mouth "rot". The vet removed a chunk of ick from the roof of her mouth which seems to have made her more comfortable. We are hand feeding and giving antibiotics and will watch her closely for the next few weeks. The vet said reptiles take a long time to get sick and a long time to get well so we are in for the long haul!

We removed the sand and are using newspaper and paper towels for now as a substrate. We also added a heat lamp to raise our daytime temperature.

Anyway I just wanted to say another thank you for all the help and the peace of mind it gave us while we were trying to figure out "how" sick our gecko was and what to do about it! It's nice to know that there are places that a teenager can safely go and ask questions and be safe and treated well!

Thanks!
Anna's mom
