did som more research and found a little more info. but i am still very shocked by this!!
i clean their tank every piece thoroughly every week!! if they lay a hard shell egg in the cave thing dont you think it would come out when i clean it.. i even soak it in the water... and they are supposed to be 6 inches .. well my 2 are only like 4 inches long.. i also just found 3 more eggs in the cave thing they hide out in , so i am getting rid of that and putting a real moist hide in and another log hide. anymore advice? thanks tanya

They won´t use a moist hide and eggs do not tolerate high humidity. Why don´t be happy that they produce eggs and let things as they are?
For short: Tarentola (do you keep mauritanica or another species of the genus..pics would help to clarify that) generally need a dry vertical setup (I´d suggest at least 30g)with a weak basking spot, since they sometimes love to bask in evenings and mornings. Females have a very high Calcium need and hence bird grit or crushed sepia shell should be availavble all time.
Males are extremely territorial and will not only attack their own kind but also other gecko species. Also females are territorial, so best stick to 1,1
Babies grow much slower than most other geckos . Even though they can breed in their second year, they do not reach full size before their 4th or 5th year.
They can live longer than 20 years.

Hope that helps

Ingo
