Does anyone use sterilite or similar plastic boxes as permanent enclosures? Anyone have any escapes with this type of cage?

Yes and yes. I think corns can escape from just about anything. It is the nature of the beast. Oddly I keep several species ( corns, rats, milks, childrens pythons, boas...) and all can escape but only a couple individuals seem to make a habit of it. Earlier this year I had a clutch of late 07 yellow ratsnakes separated by sexes into two different steritlites. The boys repeatedly got out of theirs and went up a row to get in with the girls....not wandering off, just visiting the girls. Go fig.
My male Childrens got out three times last week and each time I tore the room apart, only to find him hanging off the ceiling light (where he was NOT hours earlier) later each evening. Goofy animals.
