amador7872 Feb 19, 2008 01:22 AM

My girl for my in to Ball pythons i guess what know she tell me that i make her go crazy talking about then. On Jan 5 i went to the metro area expo in Whiteplane Ny and got me a 07 female 100% het albino. There is going to be an other expo there on april 20 and i am thinking to get an other female maybe 06 but my question is that is it better to alfo get a het male too or just wait and get a male ready to go when i need it.

Your girl is going to need a couple of years to mature . I would suggest you wait a year to get your male . By then you may have enough money for a Albino male . Balls are addicting. Have fun. Claude

My son and I were at the same show!

He'd asked for BPs for Christmas, and wound up with two males from the local Petco, so between the two of us, we picked up some pretty girls at White Plains. No morphs (yet!), just lovely normal ladies.

That White Plains Expo was quite the introduction to the current state of this hobby for a guy who's been out of it for a while! Pied Persian ratsnakes? Dumerils?? Chondros??? A virtual rainbow of unsuspected ball python morphs!!!

I'm hoping to add some pastel or het albino females as this year progresses, then look for complimentary males (spider? het/visual albino??) next year, as the females usually need a year or so longer than the males to mature.

I love that show and one thing i can tell you i'll be there on april 20 cuz I'm hoping to add some pastel or het albino females as this year progresses maybe 06 het female or a pastel female also 06. If i do get any of the 06 i'll get a 07 het albino mail. I use to bred iguanas as a kid. One i took it ti start with BP i told myself that i was going to get and albino. Who knows maybe i see you on april.

I normally buy the female about a year before I by the male. It doesn't hurt to buy the male at the same time, but it also doesn't hurt to wait. Females take about a year or more longer than males to become sexually mature. I would also not buy a male het. Save your money, and go for the visual. You will make more albinos with the visual, and all of the offspring will be either visual or het. No possible hets. Hope this helps.
