Very nice, Adam. I used to have a bunch of Brachypelma; they are gorgeous, but itchy
Here's a mature male B. boehmei I used to have. Good looking, but didn't have the right moves to hook up with the ladies.

Hey Maria, that is a beautiful spider too, blood leg? i really want to get my hands on a flmae knee also.
my other tarantula is a curly hair

Yes Adam, Blood Leg. I had 2 adult females, too. Great species, but they are flickers and will flick hair at you if you even look at them funny. The flame knees are very beautiful as well and aren't as nervous...more like the Red knees. You don't seem to see them for sale that often, so if you find one you should definitely pick it up.
This species below probably had the most dramatic color change I've seen (and I was a serious tarantula junkie for awhile there and had over 100 of them). Avicularia versicolor (Antilles Pink Toe) from Martinique, South America. They start out a vibrant blue and mature into having a green carapace, red fuzzy front and purple back legs. The adult photo doesn't really show off the colors well, but you get the idea.

Chris Flowers

Hey Chris,
Thanks. I had many many sources but I got a lot of them locally in Chicago from breeders I knew personally. Most of my Brachy's were from Bruce Effenheim from Theraphosid Breeding Projects. Super nice guy, very knowledgeable and very commited to the captive-breeding efforts.
Which species did you keep?
Here's one of my permanent residents...P. regalis (Indian Ornamental)
