So this is my first year breeding feeder mice for my snakes. I have a relatively small colony. About one male and eight females adults are kept in a 40 breeder tank and my grow out tank for the babies is a 55 gallon tank. Anyways I was checking the grow out tank and saw a dead mouse. Still warm, no one had started to nibble on it or anything. My question is this, what do you do with the ones that die before you send them to the gas chamber? Do you just toss it, or do you feed it to your snake asap or do you freeze it and feed it later? Any input is appreciated.
