My big girl is due to lay when I will be out of town. If she lays 30 after her post ovulation shed I will be right in the middle of my vacation. My question is should I let her incubate them herself until I get back then artificially incubate them, or let her do it the whole term?? I feel safer doing it artificially because I had a 100% hatch rate last year going with artificial. Thanks
Chris

Set it up so that if she does lay while you're gone, the eggs are not going to deteriorate. Then, when you come back, artifically incubate them.

A box full of moss for her to hide in and lay the eggs in, kept damp on top but with the part on the cage floor dry, ought to keep your eggs from dimpling to the point of no return while you're gone.

Chances are she probably won't even lay while you're gone.
