Big Spring - off topic

I was greeted by this yesterday morning on the way into Midland...I used to pray that this refinery wouldn't blow up everytime I drove past it...missed it by about 2 hours!

Notice the clean energy wind farm in the background...

Im going to midland and west texas this year and was wondering if there are any good herping spots in midland? ANd if there is a nice population of Desert Massasauges there?

What the hell do you want with Midland?!?! I woudn't go near it if I didn't have to go to work there now and again...
Massasaugas should be in the general area of Midland. They prefer being close to water, so check out a good map and look for roads in close vicinity. South of Midland about 90 minutes or so is Iraan, where you can find plenty of info on where to look for Alterna.

Sorry I'm a little slow to reply. I'm from Midland and know the area good. There is a county road east of town where I have caught a couple. It's county road 460 and it's off 158. But must the edwardsi I've caught where in andrews county.
