Well your picture is dark, but it looks like a blizzard to me. congrats on your purchase. I'm a big fan of those.
Yeah, i bought him from Petco about six months ago.. only $19.99... I hope hes a blizzard, but if not still beautiful...
Looks like a patternless in poor body condition. Did you buy him like that?

i bought him as a baby, but he is taking longer than normal to grow... I think it is a calcium thing so ive been dusting the crickets...
Always gut load and dust the crickets, preferably every time with a multivitamin and calcium supplement such as T-Rex for Leos.
How long have you had him/her? That tail should be filled out at least a little bit when growing and slow growth is a sign of illness. A fecal exam wouldn't be out of order. I didn't have good luck with chain stores, so I'm a bit biased, but that tail is thin.
Oh, and it's a blizzard of some sort, hard to tell what color with the lighting. (But thanks for not flashing the poor thing!) Probably a dark blizzard, they can be very beautiful, almost purple like to near black.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree sleepy. That is 99% a patternless, and not one which is full grown.. I can still make out some of the blotchy baby pattern. That leo def needs a fecal. I hope you are not keeping the 2 together?

Turning the brightness up on my monitor, I will concede I thought that was some sort of color variation from the picture, not the gecko. Odd pattern on its head, so you can guess my confusion.
Better pictures please!

Whats a "fecal"?
Got it now, Duh... I have another question.. I have my geckos in a rack.. do they need sunlight or any time of daytime lighting at all. They are in a boaphile rhynorack.. with belly heat. I take back my purchase date.. I have the reciept and it is for november 22nd. so hes like 4 months old, but he weights only 26grams. It i guess shows no sign of sexual maturity as far as i can tell, no bulging hemipines or v. Thanks guys for all your help.

Well, that is a whole new can of worms and a whole different set of arguments, but I'll tell you my opinion, others will follow and you can choose your own way.
BTW I would suggest you should pick up The Leopard Gecko Manual (Tremper et all), many of your questions could be answered there and it is still a staple for us "old timers". Cheap and concise.
Everyone can agree that there needs to be a heat cycle of a warmer day/ cooler night. I have done my own experiments - my geckos grow faster, larger, and healthier with a bulb with UVB. Anticipating the main argument against this is that geckos are nocturnal... this is not completely exact because in the wild they hunt at the hours of dusk and dawn and do see natural sunlight. I saw amazing differences in the amount of prey eaten after 3 days of trying the visible and UV light, I won't go back for any of my geckos. Neither will my current girl, coming in at almost 10" without giant genes raised from a baby in full light. She's a hoot too, often basking her tail. Here she is as a mere babe:
