Love juice!

Last night after lights out my female was released from the external hide (around 10:30pm).
She came walking down and as soon as she hit the ground she found a spot to excrete this pile of sperm?

Sorry about the quaility of the photos, but there is only a small amount of urates in this pile (upper left). The majority of this pile was clear, very thin and very slick to the touch.

Right after she passed this pile of goo she ate 4 fuzzies.
I have noticed this "goo" in their water basin before, but never have seen a pile like this!
Funny thing is with 8 children some folks call me the sperminator, I may have some compitition!

Hi Mike, if I was you, I would put that under a microscope, because I do not believe thats sperm. I believe its calicum and/or urates. Cheers

Hi Frank,
I wish I had a microscope, I really wanted a look!
Thanks for your input.

With kingsnakes, after the first breeding(it takes a day or so to form) a plug is formed and it does not allow sperm from later copulations from entering the oviducts.

If they copulate after the plug is formed, you can see them expell the sperm. And yes, its the same as ours, not white.

I am not sure if monitors form plugs, some may, but its not common enough for easy viewing, like with kingsnakes.

I have not bothered to check, and I have not seen this with monitors. But it would not surprise me if it does.

Besides, as fathers, we know the sperm does absolutely no good ON THE GROUND. (one of my common sense comments) Or a whole lot of good if you already have tooooooo many offspring. Cheers

Frank
As I said in my first post the photos suck!
There is a small amount of urates and the rest was "like ours"!
I asked my Wife to taste it to see if it was "salty" or not...she declined!
Of course it does no good on the ground, but I'm sure plenty of "swimmers" made it through, they were going at it for quite some time!
At any rate we will soon see if any made it or not.

I asked my Wife to taste it to see if it was "salty" or not

And if she did and it wound up being urates you'd be in a bunch of trouble Bro. ROTFLMAO!!

Mike, you don't have to answer this, but how in the world do you afford eight kids AND a big lizard habit . I cringe just thinkin' about it.
