My BP Jake was bred out of a pied batch and he has some scales that are white. See pics. Is it possible that he is het or possibly het?
Somebody told me that the marking for pied is a unbroken stripe on the tail, but I've seen lots of snakes like this. Just wondering.

Lots of normals have the white scales that border the black. Nothing unusual there. But then again, you never know!

You wrote that he is from a Pied batch. So unless I misread that statement then he should be at least 50% het Pied (het Pied X normal). Now if both of his parent were het for Pied then he has a 66% chance of being het Pied. And last if one of his parents was a visual Pied then he would be 100% het. But with that said I don't see anything in those pics that would indicate any type of marker. The most common possible marker for Pied is a clear white belly with long black lines down both sides. Post a pic of the belly and more info on his parents.

All I know a bought his parents are that the breeder for the Petland I was working at had a pied project going on. I'll post some pics of his belly tonight. I'm new to bp's and thoght it was a strange trait. Pics soon.
