RHP, UTH, Heat Tape or Lights?

gride225 Feb 21, 2008 02:53 PM

I am keeping my boa in a vision cage and currently have a red light & UTH to heat the cage. It only makes it to about 80-81 deg. i was looking for a stronger heat source. what are the pros & cons of what is available to use for boas in a vision cage?

Where do you have your thermometer? Make sure the thermometer you're using is placed directly on the ground on top of the heat source.

it is a digital thermometer hooked up to the heating pad. i am trying to get opinions on the best way to heat a 4ft vision whether it be using RHP, UTH, lights etc. what does everyone else use?

I use a UTH. I was wondering where your thermometer is, because I usually have more a problem with a UTH being too hot rather than too cold. I wouldn't recommend lights and I haven't used RHP or Heat Tape.
