07 Va. Beach Easterns

Steve_Craig Feb 21, 2008 07:50 PM

I had some older photos of my easterns in the below thread with all the chain king pics. Here are some updated pics I took tonight. I've noticed that their chain pattern is turning a brighter white after each shed. First two pics are the female, last pic is the male. Steve

Cool. Does that chain pattern continue on the bottom of the snake? Or is that more of a solid white?

The chain patterns on both my male & female mine continue on down to the ventral area. A friend of mine (wiesma2297) does happen to have a Va. Beach Eastern king with solid white on the ventral area. If he reads this thread, he might post a pic of her.

Very nice Steve,

If I were out shopping for chain kings, that's exactly what I'd be looking for.

Howie without a doubt has some of the nicest Pungo Ridge easterns. he has a male we simply refer to as "ten" becasue he's perfect, which really says something becasue even Gerry Ryan is only 7 of 9!

elaphopeltishow Feb 22, 2008 05:19 PM

And every time I see how nice the neonates are developing I wish I held some over for me. "Ten" is the dad for the eastern king pictured, by the way, and is pushing 5 and 1/2 feet in length. Steve, I knew they would turn out special the day you cherry picked them, as those were the ones I was considering holding over. Can't knock your good taste.

Howie, I take it that was the dad "Ten" I was holding the day Ralph & I was at your house picking out snakes? No doubt he's an impressive animal. Next time I'm bringing my camera.

Good Gosh!
That is such a killer snake! Howie's animals never fail to impress.
I have never heavily considered getting an eastern but pics like that do damage to that plan!

That male is pretty close to my idea of the perfect Eastern king. Jet-black, clean white, non-aberrant pattern.
