i have been having an issue with low humidity in my tank, was gonna go the local "hydroponics" shop to check out misters that i could put on a timer. but i found an old doohickey that i got with a fountain that makes fog using a diaphragm vibrating at the ultrasonics frequency. not only does it provide moisture it looks cool as hell with the fog slowly creeping across the tank. of course it will be on a timer as well so as to keep humidity in proper range. but i don't want to use it if it'll bother my snake.

BTW have any of you noticed your snakes having a preference for certain types of music? mine seems to like depeche mode, and portishead, but NOT lynyrd skynyrd. as soon as free bird starts playing they head or their hides lol.

Foggers and misters are not advised for use with ball pythons.

when i had mantella frogs, i used an electronic fogger. it had a sort of low voltage zappy quality to it which was not an issue as i was able to put it in an area the frogs could not access - but you dont want ball pythons coming into direct contact with these things.

that said, that would create far too much humidity for a ball python and too much humidity can cause health issues. its the wrong thing for the wrong animal.
