there are some people breeding pure bangka's and malaysians, but i think it may be hit and miss on the color.
what do you think about this Sumutran?

she was bred by an equally nice male whom i would guess is of sumutran decent as well....

That's a really striking animal! First word out of my mouth was, Wow! The same way a bright albino kind of takes my breath away.
Lucky you!
Very nice female, looks like she's 4 to 6 years of age. What length is she?
Kelly
i can't remember the age. it is from steve hammond bloodlines.
She has grown quite a bit over the last year or so, and now is now 4.5 feet or so...

That female was hatched out in 2000.Mike Eckert owned her for about 5 years, and then passed her on to Steve Frist who only had her a short time before I got her from him in a trade.
Mike told me who produced her but I can't remember who
I do have a pic of her as a hatchling, she certainly turned out nice.
Kevin
Kevin,
I would be interested in seeing that hachling photo if possible, as I am curious as to the color she showed early on. Thanks,
Kelly
Ok Kelly,Mike sent me this pic after I aquired her from Steve Frist in July of 05, I do have Mike's permission to post this.
She was bred that season to a male from the same clutch. Both of these Bloods are surprisingly small for their age, the female was just under 10lbs.at the time I introduced the male. I also noticed their heads are shaped a bit different from the other Brongersmai that I keep. The pic of her at oviposition is on April 4,2006

i believe that mike eckert told me that she was pure sumutran from steve hammnond...dude that actually lives near louisville, but out of the snake biz.

Hammond did have some nice bloods back in the 90's, and I believe they were all sumatrans.
Kelly

Her deep red adult color makes even more sense after seeing the juvenile photo. I have seen hundreds of young bloods over the years and have noticed that those with the deeper brown ground color as newborns tend to have a much better chance of turning into red adults. Most of the lighter tan colored newborns tend to turn out some shade of tan or light orange as adults. Not always a given, but definitely an indicator of the odds.
Kelly
Here's her brother.
I just bred her to Melted Pattern girl Ruby.
She is currently gravid with his babies.
Kevin bred the two siblings and I have one of the babies.
Kelly ,if you want to get into this bloodline ,kevin is letting go one of the boy's that looks just like Jason's female. He's already a deep red. Awesome looking male.
Here's the result of the siblings being bred togeather. This boy looks just like his dad.
Here's the male breeding Ruby.
After a Job's WELL Done and Well Deserved Treat !!!
