meal worms?

annaisagecko Feb 23, 2008 05:45 PM

anna again,

my meal worms are in the refrigerator, but as you probably know theirs no gecko to feed them to at the moment,

so should we take them out of the fridge so they can start going through their metamorphosis? or leave them in the fridge?

how often should we feed them? and if we need to take them out of the fridge should we put them in a bigger container? because their in the little thing that they come in at the moment, and if so what else should we put in there with them?

thank you!

why dont you take them out and try your hand at mealworm breeding? It's kinda fun, and then you will be sure to have some on hand.

I breed my own meal worms because it is very easy and I save money in the long run. All you have to do is get a bigger container put oatmeal in there and six or so baby carrots (about an inch long). When the carrots are dried out then replace them. I put some calcium in my meal worm farm so it can get on the oatmeal and on the worms so that my Leo will get the calcium he needs.
