A few post-brumation pics . . .

everyone is feeding nicely, especially the stragglers from last fall. Here's to a great '08 everyone! Now if we could just get ONE more heavy snowfall before winter ends -- we've been cheated here in NY so far. Had to go to Canada a couple weeks ago out of frustration, and the dogsledding was a definite perk.

Thanks for looking!

You got some beauts there Jerry. Is pic number three a coastal or a nice red phase eastern milk like the kind I often caught upstate ny? I had 2 Huskies so seeing the pics made me miss them. My stuff is up too, and feeding/breeding will commence this week. My vacation from the collection is over.

Great shots Jerry, thanks. Snakes are beautiful. Same feeling I have about getting jipped this winter snow-wise, being next door to you in NJ. So while we have several inches out there right now, I'm heading out into the woods with my dog for some scenic nature. Maybe we'll pick up another storm if we're lucky. Keep enjoying.

Great shots Jerry...

That lil' agalma needs to keep up the good work.... it's a looker for sure. Hey if you find any extra snow send it down to FL... talk about being jipped...

I'll concur with that! The panhandle hasn't had snow since winter of '89! :P And I lived in NM during the winter of 89. :P

Jerry,
The Dog sledding definitely looks like it would be a blast.
One of these days I'm going to have to get a pair of those Agalma from you. Nice looking Syspila, and Alterna too.

Phil, rumor has it that it used to snow in Virginia. I've never heard such nonsense, LOL

for all the compliments. Beautiful day in my neck o' the woods -- barely a cloud in the sky. Russo and Panichi can confirm, lol. Going back to Canada, with the area called Mont Tremblant, Quebec to be more precise, is definitely on the to-do list. Now it's off to Va in April/May to do some serious L. g. getula hunting with Howie S. (hey, you bring the brew and I'll put on a chicken when I arrive....) and maybe, FINALLY, get back to herpin out west next year or some higher-elevation spots somewhere. Howie, pic numero tres is a Jefferson County syspila -- we need another round of "guess the locality" to shake off the winter rusties -- OFFICERS BROWN and HARDWICK!!! LOL.

But seriously, can't wait to see what you all hatch out this year. Everyone's got some reeeeal lookers out there. I'm trying something new this year in the incubator, which is placing the eggs on that white plastic drop-ceiling material which rests above the incubation medium (in which mine is 75% vermiculite and 25%, roughly, sphagnum moss). General consensus of experiences with this practice -- thumbs up or down??

Check out this monster Panther cham cage we just finished building yesterday. Decorated pics will follow.
