Tortoise Incubators!

TreedTexas Feb 24, 2008 03:50 PM

I am looking for a cheap egg incubator for my redfoots and sulcata tortoises. Does anyone know a really good cheap one online somewhere or that I can order? I have seen those real good ones for like 400 dollars but I dont think I want to pay that much. Thanks!

Buy a Hovabator. They are very good and cost only about $50 the last time I purchased one. I have 5 of them and have never experienced any troubles with them.

Thanks for the reply! Yes I think I saw one of those online about that price but I thought they were for bird eggs? Is there anything special I have to do to use them? Any special bedding? What kind of tortoise do you use your incubators for? Thanks!

I have hatched all 4 types of Pyxis, all 3 types of Star Tortoises, and Radiated Tortoises in Hovabator incubators to name the main ones. They are perfect for reptile eggs.

Email me off the forum and I will send you a detailed article on how to set up the eggs.

Has anyone used this incubator? JURAGON KR20. Kemp's sell this Korean made incubator. I think the equivalent bird egg incubator is the R-Com.

If you have used it, how have you found it?

Also are there any other very good reptile incubators on the market. (For Tortoise eggs).

Get the simplest one they make. I have used them for many years without ever having a problem.
They are also easy to find and easy to set up.
