Breeding Loan Q's

OKReptileRescue Feb 25, 2008 12:03 PM

Hypothetical situation here:

Say I have a female and a friend has a male...
I send the female off to my friends house to make babies.
Say the female lays ... 10 eggs.

Then what?

How many babies are mine? his?
Do I get my female back (isn't that the point of a breeding LOAN?)

any info on how that works would be great!

What about the other way around. Say I have the male and friend has the female. I send the male to his house to make babies... Then what?

thanks

Beth

It depends a lot on the value of the animals involved. Usually it's an equal split with the person having the highest valued animal getting the first pick - but it can be whatever you agree to - make sure you put the agreement in writing tho - Including your expectations as far as feeding, how long to keep animal and expectations in case of sickness or death.
