And quit calling me Surely :0)
well, i don't have any suggestions for finding a breeder in claifornia...but here in maryland i know a guy that might know of how to locate some. The guys name is Larry Kenton...mdreptilefarm.com. I have had an L.g. goini for the past 9 months and she died today...i think from the heat. she ate and then later regurgitated her food...and then died. SOOO sad. i am heartbroken. she was my first and very nice looking. i will be searching for another one soon as well. good luck.
Leland
Leland - sorry to hear about your loss, that really sucks.
Bengkulu - where in Cali are you? East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley list Goini on their pricelist, but they're sold out right now.
Not sure what a "speckled" goini is.
Have 3.4 I'm going to be trying to find homes for. They turned out very cute... feisty little devils!
Here's one of the babies:

This one is very nice, with dark bands, wide red bands, and a speckling of black like a sort of "ghost band" in the midst of the red bands.

Thanks sasheena..Those are great looking babies..Can you post some pics of your adults..I would love to see'm...
There are several pattern types of goini including blotched, speckled and striped...Although I'm not a professional taxonomist I think goini is a valid subspecies and the speckled and striped forms are its purist form...Taxonomist however consider them nothing more than a relic form of Eastern and Florida king intergrades...I don't think so but this is just MHO.
I am looking for the tan and brown form of the speckled and striped types.
forgot to mention I'm not in California, I'm in Phoenix. Close, but not quite.
