Bromelaid Sold at Wal-Mart

DKiM128 Aug 27, 2003 08:58 PM

I was walking throughout Wal-Mart for my school supply when I noticed that they have these minature bromelaid. I ask for their specific name, but as most of the people, they have no clue. They are called assorted minature Bromelaid, and was hoping if anyone knew what their specific name are.

There are a lot of different Bromeliads--several genera and species of each. So it's impossible to tell what they are without a description or photo. Even then, one can't be 100 percent sure without seeing the inflorescence.

The leaves remind me of a Neoregelia "Spots & Dots" and the flower is just bueatiful, I was wondering if any sort of bromelaid can handle the temperature of the vivarium, or do I need more specific Bromelaid.

Most all Bromeliads can handle the humid vivarium. I'd go ahead and try them. The types that stay small are especially good.
