My sons Albino leopard gecko has stopped eating. He has a fat belly and his tail is thin. Any help would be appreciated.

More information would help substantially. what was he eating, until when, is his belly bloated or just full, age of the animal, setup, temps, etc.

He is 7 months old. was eating crickets. stopped couple of weeks ago. tried meal worms. only ate one, was taken to vets, they said he was dehydrated. Have been soaking him in warm water once a day. tried to feed crickets again. No interest in eating. I have tried to adjust heat. under tank hating pad on half of tank, High temp of 90 and low temp of 74. He is definately bloated.

he has been going to a couple of times. Fecal test was negative

I'm sorry to say he may need another vet visit. What other tests did the vet do? A neg fecal is possible even if he has parasites, a repeat would be in order. Is he pooing normally or is it runny/off color/stinky? How old is this leo? Any risk he's impacted?

Is the gecko a female, and do you have a male? If so, it is possible that it is laying eggs. Check the underside of it's belly to see if you can see two white circle-like things inside. If so, it's possible that it could be having eggs. They do not eat if they are about to lay eggs.

If it is not gravid, then it is most likely sick. You will need to take it to a reptile specialist.
