My breeding year so far.....

rainbowsrus Feb 26, 2008 03:51 PM

was emailing last night and put all my notes together and wow, a lot is going quite well so far....

I have 12 possible BCI morph breedings this year.

Five clear, like clockwork ones, even the due dates based on Ovulation and POS are close

Pastel CBLT x 2005 Summit Pastel Salmon due 04/11 (OV) - 04/09 (POS)

Coral Albino x Pastel Motley due 05/03 - 05/05

Ghost x Ghost (both pos super) due 05/07 - 05/10

DH Sunglow x Albino due 05/30 - 05-29

DH Snow x TH moonglow due 06/06 - 06/06

Two more apper to have ovulated, waiting on POS
Coral Albino x 2005 Summit Pastel Salmon (his second GF) due 06/17 (OV)

Ghost x Motley due 06/17 (OV)

Three more appear gravid but not like clockwork
Salmon x aby line normal 2/17 shed - POS? if so due 06/01

Albino pos het Snow x Anery pos het Snow swollen 12/26 pre-OV? OV? due???

Anery het Snow x Albino het Snow did not see swellings, Pre-OV or OV but then again they are in a bottom cage. She shed 12/20 and activity last noted 14 days earlier. If POS, then due date is 04/15

One more maybe
Super Salmon pos Jungle x Salmon pos Jungle swollen 12/27 pre-OV? OV? due???

One last one I don't think is gravid
Paradox Albino Arabesque x Motley, saw some courting but no real heavy action, she is on the small/young side though and was not introduced until later in the season

The one small black spot on her, Paradox? (looks like a graphic out of an old video game)

Hey Mike, the genes are there so should be plenty of good stuff coming out.

Wassup dude, only one?? What the _ _ _ _ happened?? Are yours still going at it? My BCI breeding activity has stopped. Still have several pairs together but just laying around on top of each other. No wraps or anything else. Just seperate to feed from time to time.

BTW, look towards the top of the forum, I've got new pics of some of your (mine now) babies I'll post right now.

Well today I had another ovulation, so make that 2! LOL

It has just been slow here for me this year and I had a lot of females go last year, so some have this year off and some just are not up to par for breeding. There is still some action out there, but nothing like I would want for it being the end of Feb.
I know I will get a few nice litters so I am not too worried, but it will not be a year like last year, that is for sure!

Good luck to you and everyone else this season!

Dave,

You're gonna have quite the busy spring and summer this year. Can't to see some litter pics from you, especially from your coral albino x pastel motley litter and ghost x motley pairings. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Regards,

Jay

Thanks Jay,

Yeah I alternate between tickled pink with all the prospects and a little scared - what if they all drop large litters?

LOL, with all I have going on at home, I forgot to mention I also have anothe half of a litter. My 2004 Summit Salmon bred to a huge (really huge) normal.

And if all that was not enough, I also have a bunch of BRB's starting their breeding cycles now. Typucally dropping their litters in September.

Very appropo way to put it. Now it's totally out of my hands (except the monitoring part) It will be what it will be!!! I just know there will be some true gems in the various piles and no way to tell how many or what kind until the various piles show up!!!

I'm still amazed at her, bought as a previously bred young adult. Was fairly small (dwarf?) and still pretty small. I was thinking she's already had a litter??? Where??? How??? She's too small!!!

Then she got herself "in a family way" and amazing how much she bulked up.
