Updated pics of my female annulata

blupanther Feb 26, 2008 03:56 PM

She's gone through a bit of a growth spurt since I last posted pics of her. The male is showing a lot more yellow-orange after his last shed. I'll try to post a new photo of him as well.

He's still quite a bit smaller than the female, but his yellows are already more vibrant, although it doesn't show up so well in this photo.

Those are some nice looking annulata!

Man!,....it's funny, I looked at your site from the "link" button, and I see you live in Broward County!,......I lived there up until a couple of years ago since 1965 when my family moved from Sarasota, Florida from the other side of the coast.

Did you, or have you gone to the reptile show on 84(Airport Inn) formerly Red Carpet Inn?,........if so, I've probably seen you there some years back. I think a friend of mine(Deon Collins) wants me to come down for a show soon, it might even be held there as well.

The next show at that location is on March 15. I'm hoping to pick up a couple more milks/kings there.

LOL!!,.......Yes, that's the one he was talking about!
That's too funny!, If I go there, I'll be with probably the ONLY black guy there at the show(imagine that!), I'll be the taller white guy with the dark hair and mustache..LOL!

What kind of milks/kings are you looking for?

The Red Carpet Inn, ahhhh fond memories of the first hypo brooksi for 500$ (pass thanx) hey! hets for 300 -pass.
Jeez what a dinky space they had allocated for the show then.
I suppose you guys trekked to the Int'l shows in Tampa then??
Yehaw Junction and the Dew Drop Inn for coffee refills?
Fun stuff!! Jeff

LOL!!,.....Yeah Jeff, I used to go to that thing all the time in the 90's. I remember Doug Beard had the first hypo brooksi for sale there, and yes, they were a little more than I thought they were worth too. He also spit out an unexpected $2,000 dollar albino nelsoni from what he thought was a normal pairing of adults then!.......I remember oooooing over those things as well, hoping I could one day afford one..LOL!, my girlfriend went "bonkers" over those things at the time!

take care Jeff, ~Doug

I'll be looking for a mate for my male cal king. I would also like to pick up a florida king(brooksi morph)if I can talk my better half into it. I am always trying to educate everyone I know about snakes, so a florida native would be nice to have. Of course I will always be tempted by another annulata, my personal favorite.

Cool!,........good possibility you can locate what you need there. I haven't been to the one there in years, but they "USED" to have all those you mentioned there in pretty fair numbers. I would imagine there are a much larger number of Ball Pythons there now to coincide with the rest of the market,....know what I mean?

I remember seeing some BEAUTIFUL annulata there as well, but who knows what I'll see there after not being there for about eight years or so.

I was originally told this guy was L. Arcifera. Now I'm told it's really L. Ruthveni. But it also looks a lot like L. Annulata.

He's 2.5 years old and about 30-31". I assume he's done or close to done growing.
