and he said that his do not go off feed except when there breeding

and breeding season is four or five months long . During this time they either don't eat or eat sporadically. Don't be discouraged. Just understand that there are times when they simply don't eat, learn when that is and act accordingly. Think about it this way......when they aren't eating you aren't spending money on feeders LOL.

Hey not all ball pythons go on off feed but that doesn't mean that there is something wrong with it. I don't know if this is your case but wild caught adults are generally by far the more frustrating feeders. Captive hatched and captive bred snakes seem to adjust better to captivity and are better about eating on a regular basis. If you don't notices lose of weight and no health problems, you are fine. Not all ball python

My ball has not eaten for almost 4 months now. I am starting to worry about him, but I had 1 go for 6 months and did fine. A couple of my boas went off feeding around the same time, but have just started eating again.

When I first got into Balls I went to the Hamburg show and spent all my money. Half because I had the money to spend and half because I didnt really understand that theyre where morphs.. So I spent all my money on normals.. Wont do that again.. But this one table had a munch of huge massive females. I saw 1 that I really liked and bought her. After I paid for her he told me she was a WC that laid eggs....

Well 2 years later I was still offering her food and she still wouldnt take it... She had round worms and was just a mess. I tried everything that you can think of like hide boxes... You name it Ive tried it.. Nothing worked so my husband and I thought it through together and decided that it would be best to put her to sleep so we did. If you saw her situtaion you'd propbably do the same.

Heres a pic..

Why didn't you try giving it to someone that knew what they were doing before putting it down?

We did. I tried to ask the vet that we where taking her to. I asked a few Ball friends of mine and they didnt want to deal with her.

Belive me it was a real tough disicion that we had to make. We looked at all other opions before doing that.

I dont like that we did it but I think it was best for her. I mean if you had a dog that was hit by a car and was too far gone.. Wouldnt it be best to put it down then to suffer?
