The big one is the Mali and the photo is a little older. The baby Egyptian is a bit larger now. Both are piglets as far as food goes but the Mali really carries heavy weight.
I look hard for tame uros. I have never had a 'spazz' that ever, ever got tame. They seem to either be born curious and tame or not. Some lizards I bought I ended up selling because they were not tame. I just wanted a couple of 'pet' quality uros, meaning hand tame. I could be wrong and maybe one can tame a uro with nervous behavior, I just have not been able to do it.
My big Mali rarely eats any animal protein, usually only insects and of all things, he likes breakfast sausage bits if they are dry. I normally put stuff out like that for the Sudan who is mostly a meat eater.
I am writing this looking at all three lizards, they are all under the same basking lamp together. The big Mali is pretty easy going, he puts up with the active baby Egyptian who always seems to be scurrying about looking for trouble.
