Future mates meet...

EddieF Feb 27, 2008 07:19 PM

I was giving Belle a soak (a weekly occurance for my snakes until I figure out the humidity thing) and was running out of counter space. So I put her up in front of Dexter's cage. Well boy oh boy was Dexter interested in the babe outside the window! This is him coming out to investigate. Looks like she noticed him too, but was not quite as impressed...

In looking at this photo, it occurs to me that this mating might never work. Dexter's water dish looks pretty gay.

'Not that there's anything wrong with that...'

Seriously though- I think you're spot on. Give that thing a nice heavy coat of black paint, else he'll NEVER get any!

That's funny you mention that. Because no, it isn't (I don't use a snake hook). I didn't notice it was there when I took the picture. Then when I got it on my computer I thought, damn, what a stupid thing to have in the picture. But then I thought someone might think it was a snake hook! Then I thought again, hey, that WOULD make a good snake hook!

So: no it wasn't, but I think it might be now!

You could probably score one of those at a Dollar store! Cheapest hook other than a wire hanger! Tom Stevens

I think they're GIVING them away at Pier One! I should snag a dozen, paint a snake on it and the words 'Eco-Friendly Snake Hook' and sell them at reptile shows for $20!
