Tampa Bay Herping...

More specifically Pinellas County... I'm just inquiring as to whether or not anyone might have any info on anything other than black racers! I know the county is ridiculously populated and it's an unlikely request -- living near Sawgrass Lake Park I often see ribbon snakes and small racers and even ratsnakes cruising my back yard @ dusk and at night... plus many watersnakes in and around the area. Wheedon Island still surprises me with an occasional rattler. North County, around Lake Tarpon and the surroundings -- yellow rats a plenty. That's all I've got, but I'm really trying hard to establish a breeding colony of scarlet kings from Pinellas. Anything would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Chris

Here's a Pinellas male.

At first I thought (and hoped) this aberrant one was female but it turned out to be male too.

Thanks for the pics Mark... I'm really rather determined @ this point. Hopefully I'll at least find a female... Oh yeah and I might have gone a lil' overboard with the Pender NC animals.... good news is that I've got 1.4 but sadly enough my oldest females are just '06's -- hoping for a solid summer of growth from the two larger girls...

Going overboard is easy to do...
Contact me via email if you may want to try for a local sk.
