I went down to the dungeon this morning to feed and water the rodents and one of the rats was spinnin' in circles and wavin' his head around like Stevie Wonder. What's up with that?

Some may disagree with this but it will bring up conversation. If I put a rat down for ANY reason, they do not go to my ball pythons. It may be harmless but I never take a chance. If I put them down they are disposed of, and not in a belly.

That's probably the way it should be. Unless one is SURE what the problem is. You really can't be, and who's going to spend money at the vets on a feeder rat? Thanks for the input.

As long as you know that the rat wasn't poisoned, I see no problem with feeding a sick rat to a snake. I'm not aware of any infectious agents that can travel from rodent to snake.
When I put a rat down, it's always death by python. I just had one with the same running in circles behavior, and a couple of seconds with a BP cleared the problem right up.
Jeff, I tried feedin' it off to a BP but she wasn't hungry. The BCI got it
