can I feed our snake?

hvnlyblueangel Feb 28, 2008 11:05 AM

Our whole house has had the flu for almost 2 weeks, it is now time to feed the snake but we are concerned about it catching something, does anyone know how long we should wait after we are feeling better to feed our snake?? Thank you! -Jamie

You have nothing to worry about your snakes catching the flu from you. According to what I know, that is not possible. I have fed my snakes many times when I was sick growing up.

Take care!

Thank you! It has only been 5 days since she ate and her last pinky was bigger than she is used to so my husband wasn't too worried about her needing to eat right away. I had read about respitory infections in snakes and since we are coughing I was worried she would get something. I will let him know we can feed her tonight. Thanks again!!
