I have been preparing my old beardy enclosure for 2 new ones for the last 2 weeks making sure every detail is perfect making a few new modifications to the old set-up. I have been waiting for the lady from Capital Dragons to reply back to me about one of her nice red,orange and yellow dragons she breeds but I was also looking from pet store to pet store. I saw my new female there a couple weeks ago but decided to wait a bit for once instead of being impulsive like I normally am. Yesterday I went back to that pet store after finishing the last touches on my enclosure and decided to buy one from there. The lady from the pet store picked up the biggest male from the clutch and says "this is the best looking one we have, we have 4 males and 1 female left" I have had a male and a female before but I was set on a female so I looked at him and told her that wasnt the one i wanted and said I wanted the female I saw before. She proceed to pull all 4 of the males out of this tiny cluttered tank and i was looking at them trying to sex them and find the one I liked the best and I was almost dissappointed, I new none of those were the one I saw a couple weeks back and felt like i was almost going to have to just settle for one then I looked through the tank and noticed there was on left and pulled it out. There she was I picked her up and set the rest of the males back in and I new I was taking her home. The lady kept trying to pursuay me into buying one of the males so I thought that was kind of odd. She walked to the back to get me a cricket box to bring her home in but she didnt know i was close behind her and she said to a staff member " I had to sell the female he wouldnt take the males, so and so is going to be **$%%$ pi--ed!" ....I am glad I looked through them all because this one is beautiful. She is primarily a light brown colour but she has yellow and orange highlights all over her unlike the males which were completely brown she looks like after a few sheds she might look more and more orange. I want to get another female preferably red or yellow to go along with her then eventually get another big male. I have two of the same enclosure. so I want to fill them. I’ll post pics asap
