I can't find any matches for melamine on the Home Depot or Lowe's websites, but I'm wondering if it comes in a fake wood finish instead of white.
If not at one of those stores, where can I find it?

ive only ever heard of it in white.. why are you looking for it with a wood finish?

I know it comes in a variety of colors including at least one wood grain. It would surely be a special order so you'd probably have to call around to specialty building supply stores. They may also have a minimum order required.

I have seen melamine in white, black, grey and woodgrain at Home depot.however I don't think I have seen any 8'x4' sheets in anything other than white. The other colors are usually cut for standard shelves... however they may special order it for you... You can also buy the particle board without the vinyl coating and paint it whatever color you want but you will need to put some sort of plastic or urathane finish over it to make it water proof.
