do hognoses eat their shed skin?

alebron Feb 29, 2008 04:54 PM

i have a hognose who had turned pale with blue eyes. As the days went, his eyes look less blue and skin less pale. His skin now looks fresh except for the big scales on his head, but their is no sign of any shed skin in the tank, not even a loose belly scale piece. Has anyone had a simular phenomenom?

Yeah I was confused, since I am use to the snakes that stayed pale until shed when I use to work at the petstore. Thanks though!
