Ok, from my logon you can see that we are turtle-folks. We just inherited a baby Leo and need to know the basics. How often to feed, what to feed and what supplements to give. We have been feeding mealworms, but many are black , is that bad. Also we have heard that we should take the heads off before feeding them to our Leo, true? Also, we have a heat lamp but need to know what ambient temp we should maintain. Any help would be a greatly appreciated.

feed every day for babies, and every other day for adults. supplements, they need calcium and d-3. the black mealworms are dead, no nutritional value. no need to pull off heads, they CANNOT eat threw the stomache. the ambient temp doesnt matter as long as the floor is around 90 on the warm side and room temp on the other. the air shouldnt be too hot either. should probably actually be cooler.
