Too much food?

DarienD Mar 01, 2008 05:43 PM

How many roaches is too much for a beardie? My beardie that I have usually only eats about 20 roaches a day, but today he ate 65 or so. Is this too many? He has a huge stomach now. Just wondering if he might have a hard time digesting it.

When feeding the appropriate size prey (distance between eyes) feed all they can eat in 5-10 minutes. Some will eat 10 insects of the right size per meal, others will eat 50. For young dragons two meals a day or more (for real young dragons and hatchlings) is fine too.
