Another Russian wakes up

DaviDC. Mar 02, 2008 10:35 AM

This is a 2 year old CB Russian that was about half the size of her clutch mates & incubated almost twice as long before hatching. Last year she (?) hibernated 4 weeks in the refrigerator & came out feisty & strong. Last fall she burrowed down on her own in the outdoor pen & I couldn't find her. I mulched the area where I thought she was with leaves then cover it all with a tarp. This morning I decided to look for her again, found her burrow, & dug her out. She hissed like crazy when disturbed so we'll see how she does once warmed up.

This little mudball was more active today & ate a bit.
I moved 'em all inside because it's supposed to rain for
the next 2 days then get cold again.
