no i didnt expect it. i used to work at 2 petsmarts and a petco when i was in high school an people that came in knew i had reptiles but i still think its weird that she was dropped off. the only thing i can think of is some of my old co-workers told someone that i had reptiles.

Better than dumped outside in the woods.

What are you going to do with her?

I just placed my first "rescued" bp with a new home today. Felt pretty good.

OKReptileRescue Mar 02, 2008 01:53 PM

We have things dropped off here on a regular basis.

I've had things left on the hood of my car and even IN MY DRIVERS SEAT!!!

Our car is decked out with the rescue info-- website, phone #, email-- everything--- I guess its easier for people to run home and grab thier pet and dump it in my car before i leave walmart...

I've had people follow me home to ask if they could bring me stuff....

We also do german shepherd rescue and i've had many-a-german shepherd tied to my porch...

she looks good-- glad she went to someone that can care for her...

People just hear that you have 'rescued' some stuff and assume that you always take it. My family has a few rescued great danes and we get people asking us to take in more on a pretty regular basis - but we're not a rescue! Great danes are expensive, we can't afford more of them.

I'm just glad no one has tried to tie one to our porch yet...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!(MINUS THE TREE AND THE CHIMNEY).

VictorOToole Mar 03, 2008 06:14 PM

Nice looking girl, good thing she wasn't tucked away under your pillow or something like that.

smellyshellysmom Mar 04, 2008 10:02 PM

Lucky you! Wish the ball python fairy would visit me! She's a big girl - breeeeeeder!

Isn't it cool when people know that you're a good reptile mommy/daddy and come to you for rescue!?! I'd rather have to rearrange the reptile room to squeeze in just one more than to think of what someone would do (release them to the "wild" or leave them behind in an apartment). Congrats and good luck!
