Genetics Question

dmmalpert Mar 02, 2008 02:53 PM

OK, I'm new to leopard geckos. I bought a trio and I'm hoping someone can tell me what I will get in the offspring. I'm pretty good with genetics, having bred other animals, but from my research so far, leopards see to have more mutations than stars in the sky. I'm also planning on maybe adding another female or two, so suggestions on what kind to add would be great as well. My male is in a 10 gallon short tank, but I have a 30 gallon for my females.

Male is a high yellow normal

Female #1 is an Albino, not sure what line, she is light tan and yellow banded with no black spots

Female #2 is a hypo tangerine, she is mostly yellow

Thanks!

Normal x Albino = Normal het for albino
Normal x Hypo Tangerine = more hypo babies. tangerine is line bred. since you have a hypo and a high yellow im guessing you will get geckos with reduced spotting and variations from yellow to orange in body color.
