Sick Gravid Boa HELP

MikeRoberts Mar 02, 2008 06:53 PM

Ok, so I paired my argentine boas back in November. They both had good weight on them and were apparently in good health. The female continued to eat every 10-12 days. I did notice several copulation and thought every thing was on track for another successful year. Then on the 2nd of January I noticed that the female had an RI so separated the two and heated turned her heat back on. Over the next three weeks she would poop every couple of days that was gray and she lost a lot of weight. Now here is the bad part. She ovulated on January 27 and is now gravid. She will not eat and in her current condition I don't feel like she will make it. She seems to be over the RI but is still having gray poop. Any thoughts?

Get her to a vet asap. As well as a sample of the poo to be checked for parasites and protozoa. It sounds like she is loaded with one or both. Good luck with her.
